This Week’s Announcements
Foundations in Faith: Join us this Sunday at 10:50 a.m. for our monthly Foundations in Faith class, part of the Covenant Pathways discipleship series. This month’s topic is “Theology”—a chance to deepen your understanding of who God is and what we believe as Reformed Christians. We’ll meet in the Jr. High Catechism room in the basement. You’re welcome to attend even if you haven’t been to previous sessions!
Second Saturday Men’s Bible Study – May 10: Guys—bring your Bible, your appetite, and a little bit of energy (we’ll have coffee). This month we’re walking through Galatians 2:15–21. Breakfast and fellowship start at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. No pressure, no prep required—just come.
Potluck: On May 18, Margaret Njuguna from En Gendi Children’s Home will be joining us for worship. Following the service, join us for a Potluck and a time of fellowship with her.
Vacation Bible School June 9-13: We are still in need of more adult volunteers to help guide our young explorers from one activity to the next. Please consider helping, VBS just isn’t the same without YOU! If you are able to help, even for a few days, please contact one of your church directors! The VBS Registration tables will be taken down this week, but you are still able to register online until June 4! (No walk-ins.) The link can be found on our 'VBS - Edgerton, MN' page. Cost is $10.
Church Name Discussion: Since our denominational change in 2022, there have been continued questions & conversations about the possibility of changing our church name. At this time, nothing is decided — we are simply in the discussion phase. If you have any questions, please talk to Merri Post. If you have any questions about it, you can address
anyone on the committee: Merri Post, Bill Post, Jason Snyder, Caitlin Arp, Amy Van Hulzen, Pat Fey, Elmer Pietz, Shelli Menning, Hope Snyder,
Rihanna Hulstein, Carter Gates, Kami Smit.
Midweek: We’re starting to plan the 2025–2026 Midweek year! If you’ve never volunteered before and feel called to help, we’d love for you to join us. Or if you’ve taught in the past and would like to lead again, please talk to Caty Arp. We’re looking for teachers and chaperones. This is one way we live out our baptismal promise — to guide and support our children as they grow in faith. We need you to make this happen!
Speaker: We would love for you to join us at American Reformed Church in Luverne MN at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 4 for an inspiring event and hear how Robin Sertell survived all odds to grow into the talented woman she is today. Robin survived three saline abortion attempts and now travels the world equipping other survivors to be a voice and share their stories. Robin has written 2 books and addresses the Civic and Social issues surrounding Pro-Life Advocacy. You are Unique. You are Loved. Your Life has Value. What will you do with the Time God has given you? A freewill offering will be received for Robin.
HELP! Royal Family Kids Camp is IN NEED of male guides to be paired with a camper for the week of camp! We have an awesome problem that there are so many boys in foster care that want to attend camp, but we don't have enough male guides sixteen and older to be paired one to one. If you, or someone you know, would be willing to make camp a reality for some of these boys, please reach out to us as soon as possible. Camp is June 2-5 and we would hate to have to turn boys away. Applications can be found on our Facebook page, Royal Family Kids Camp SWMN. You can also email us at swmnrfk@gmail.com with any questions. Please prayerfully consider doing God's kingdom work and having an eternal impact in the life of some pretty special boys!
